When combined with strategically chosen AGM markerpoints and measured in Differential GPS, the XYZ unit will deliver sub-meter accuracy of the pipeline features. The pipeline curvature can be determined and serve as a basis for strain assessment of the pipeline. The XYZ pipeline mapping unit is a valuable tool to determine the integrity of the pipeline in mountainous or geophysical active environments such as mining areas, offshore and river crossings.
